Decorum in C5 General
It sickens me to see this great forum hit the recent lows due to a couple of trashy/childish threads from immature posters. I just hope this is not a trend becoming the 'new normal' around here. It was sad to see the C7 section (where things got out of hand) require a sticky to establish some sanity and manners. Requiring the same in the C5 section, the long term established cornerstone of this great forum, would be a real low in my opinion. I plead with our dedicated hard-working moderators to pay close attention and lock these violators early with the hopes we can restore this place to the 'old normal' ...the one of high standards most of us have enjoyed for many, many years. If you agree with me, I would like to know...thanks

I agree with you 100%......especially the part about the C7 section. I've been here since the beginning too when Troy started this site and I have never seen such a free for all.
I go there to try to learn things about the new car,and it's a cesspool of haters/keyboard cowboys.

I think most of the posters stay on point - - CFOT tends to get rude and funny at the same time - - but gets to pushing it periodically, and I just drop off the forum for a few days or avoid reading those that I know will be contentious.
On this one, spelling and phone-text abbreviations seem to be a signal that the poster is new and oftentimes incurs the ire of the more tenured folks - - but it's like anything these days where good judgement seems to be easily side stepped.
I think the moderators do a pretty darned good job given the rules they're probably given and keep the topics balanced. We don't hear about the azzhats that go off to camp or simply don't come back.
I enjoy this too much to see it get wrecked by knuckleheads that don't seem to care about the brand. Thanks $$$frumnuttin'- good post.

we try and keep a reign on it but if we ban everyone that people don't agree with we get labeled *****, heavyhanded and people say the forum is over moderated....its not an easy balancing act.
as well tell everyone else..use the report post function and we will deal with it as we can...there are only so many of us to go around...we are all volunteers and have lives outside of here....can't be here 24/7 and see everything.
