Here in rural CO, everyone waves no matter what there driving. When I first moved here commin from CA I wasn't sure if everyone somehow knew who I was or what was goin on
My dad had a '69 that he sold before I was born, but he gave me an appreciation for the history behind the car long before I bought mine and the customs and courtesies that go along with being a Corvette owner. So I wave whenever I pass another. I've noticed that the ones who wave are typically the older guys, at least 40 years old. The younger people, with the exception of a very few, always look like they can't be bothered to lift their damn hand 3 inches in the air. This is somewhat off-topic but to comment on the steaming pile of turds that make up a large portion of the current 20-somethings that I am a part of, I blame their lack of a personality on portable technology. Instead of learning how to communicate with people, they stuck their head in a GameBoy or a cell phone.
Being 24 myself, I agree with this completely - most of my generation suffers from a severe lack of interpersonal communication skills outside of likes and comments.
Plenty of mutual waves this weekend in Myrtle Beach, and usually about 80/20 around Raleigh area
I almost always wave. I'd say the return is about 60/40. However, it is 1 out of 10 where females are concerned. They never wave back, maybe they think it's a sign of flirting ?
Whether or not there is a mutual wave depends WAY more on how much time each driver has to clearly see the other than exactly where they are geographically. In 40 years it has been my experience that if each driver clearly sees the other in time to wave there will be a wave 90% of the time. The remaining 10% will be comprised of women, new Corvette owners and disrespecters of the marque.

Maybe for strictly the Raleigh area. But once you get into Cary and Apex, they must require people to have a stick up their *** 24/7 just to live there. Most those people refuse to wave for some reason. Maybe it's that uppity "new money" personality.

I wave from both the 'Vette and the bike. Guess I'm just a friendly kind of guy.
No worries for me if no return wave, I just like to do it. In the small towns in southern Colorado, everyone waves at everyone, at least the locals all do. I like that too. Acknowledging others on the often vacant roads.
Corvette waves are a sometime thing, when I ride my Harley most guys and now more girl riders lift four fingers or give me the down and low wave.Anyone can operate a Corvette but get on a big Harley and you better know what you are doing. There is no longer appreciation of the Corvette because everyone with a buck can drive one.
I have waved at every corvette since owning mine for the last few months here in OKC and every single one has either beat me to the punch or waved back immediately. I think its cool!!
I wave when I see them...some wave back, some don't. I wave at all Corvettes I see as well as any other specialty or muscle car. You want to talk snobbish...wave at an SSR...those dudes are really stuck up.
