Lots of people like the Travel Buddy cup holder. Seems to work very well.

I didn't care for any of the store bought cup holders, so I made my own. I know it's not for everyone but I've been using them for about a year and half and have no spills. Its out of the way and works well for me, my wife and her Route 44s from Sonic. If it will hold those things, it will hold anything. Just slip it over the floor mat and put the mat in the car.

I made some with the clear lexan , that flip down best by far and takes up no room , I think I made a dozen for our club, once the pattern is made , it takes 1/2 hr to make them and there great ,

We have the double holder in our 04. It does not restrict passenger legroom and I can reach it easily from the driver's seat.
