Default Best cup holder?

I'm new and I just purchased a 2001 convertible and have read several posts about the cup holder issue. I would like to know if anyone has tried the double plug and chug unit or the 2 cup unit that sits on top of the forward potion of the console that Marcel's Corvette sells. The Marcel's unit looks good but I'm not sure how well it holds a drink. Any thoughts or comparisons?

Looks good but I wonder if it interferes when shifting as I have a 6 speed and tend to have my forearm at about that location ?

I like this one:
http://www.ecklerscorvette.com/corve...1997-2004.html
It is out of the way from shifting and looks like it came with the car.

I have an automatic so the console mounted unit won't affect my shifting but I like the looks of the Travel Buddy. It just looks to me like it encroaches on my passengers leg space. Does anyone have the double plug and chug? Curious about the quality?

I went with the "Double" Travel Buddy Cup Holder from CorvetteMods... Don't know what I did before it besides spill everything that didn't have a cap. The petri dish they call a cup holder is useless...

Mine was just sanded and painted Electron Blue...

Clear option cup holder . Slides up under center console .You need to order a driver side and or passenger side. Each side not the same. Will hold bottle or large soft drink cup. I don't have a picture of it in my car. . Cup holder folds up when not in use. I get a lot of inquires at cruise nights from corvette owners regarding holders. I'm very happy with them.

This is the one I use and love it. Cheap and easy. It's basically a marine cup holder attached to clear plexiglass. Holds any size cup.

I've still got my "girl in a box" one I've had for years. Works good. Kind of like the one in the pic above me.

By the way, wasn't this the first complaint ever registered on the c5 section of the forum? You would have thought by the 04 model it (cupholder) would have changed.
