Default Lowering Question???? (PICS)

So I lowered my car tonight. I lowered the rear with aftermarket lowering bolts and it turned out great. I lowered the front as low as it would go on factory bolts and can't really tell that it lowered it at all. My question is......How do you take the front bolts completely out so that he leaf spring sits on the A-Arm???

rear...I added 1" hub centric spacers as well

front.... I added 1/4" spacers

We are assuming you drove it around to make sure it settles?

The fronts should just screw out. What some do is cut half of the stopper off the bottom of the screw.

I drove it for about 20 miles. Hit the brakes pretty good a few times to see if i could get the front end to come down on the shocks. I've read of people needing a few weeks for it to settle and a few people state that it settled fairly quickly. I really wanted to know if I need to take the front bolts completely out? If so....is there a trick to getting them out?

Do they screw out and come out of the bottom of the leaf spring?

I installed c6 front bolts on my car at the lowest setting. Pretty much the same thing as the c5 front bolts without the bushings on it. But yes Mr. Bill is right, the bolt should just screw out.

Do you have a picture of yours so that I can see if I wanna go with the C6 front bolts? Also...Does it screw out of the bottom of the leaf spring? If so how do I get enogh room between the leaf spring and the a-arm to get the bolt out?

Thank you for your input. I think I'm gonna order the C6 front lowering bolts and see how they look.

I dont mean to hijack the thread but I am doing this mod on Sunday. I also bought the longer bolts but my question is how far should I start out on the threads so it doesn't sit too low. And also my fear if bringing the car back down when all done. It will sit too low to get my jack back out...

If you go to my page profile check out my pictures. That was after the install of the lowering rear bolts and c6 front bolts. Also check out this page for removing the leaf spring bolt in the front. This is what i went by when i lowered my car.

First, i lowered the front and then adjusted the rear accordingly to match. When i jacked up the rear at stock height, i could fit a 2x4 in between the jack and the car. After it was all set and done, i could bearly get my "low profile" jack out of the car alone.

Thank you very much Maxx_Z06!!! That was very helpful. I just ordered the Pfadt Johnny O'Connell Stage 1 suspension upgrade with new sway bars and shocks. I also ordered the C6 front lowering bolts. So I will do it all at the same time when it all comes in. How long did you have to wait for the front to settle before you could adjust the rear to match?
