I'd probably go with chrome, but the right color gold would probably go as well.

Consider the final look you are going for with the car. Which color do you see making sense with your wheels and things like that? I did chrome on my torch red. Looks great.

Chrome is the only color I've seen on a 50th AE Anniversary Red.

Default Black

The black is subtle and I like the look, I also have a Vortech Super Charger to back up the tag:

Go with the stainless inserts over the other material. They look better and really hold up! Worth the few extra $$$....

I know it's not among your 2 choices, but I would go with none, leave the indented letters painted.

Yes, I am afraid of having them fall off... But it looks so good.

Not really talented enough to paint (afraid I would REALLY screw it up)!

I tend to agree, I've be debating over this myself for years and just like the sorta blended in look better.

However, if I did, my thought was always to paint them to match my magnesium wheels option (as I did with the exhaoust tips and body screens)

I have never understood why anyone would highlight something that Chevrolet should have left off the body. If people don't know it's a Corvette I would just leave them guessing. Ever notice that the aftermarket panels don't have Corvette molded into them. It is a way to "personalize" your car, I get that, guess it's just not for me.

first think I bought for my car was the black letter.
I think Chevy should have made them with inserts.

Im in the love them crowd.

Just another thing to hold water after a wash-leave em off. Enough logos and other swag already from the factory.

I'm with the chrome group, it you do it at all. It would be cool, in my opinion, if you could do the lettering in the same color as the AE wheels. At least that would all tie together.
