Input needed for C5 Rearview camera?
Can anybody recomend a C5 Rearview camera(s)? I have seen some add on units on ebay, and they look like add ons! Does anybody have a line on a unit thats a "dedicated" application for a C5 that will seamlessly interface with the rearview mirror or that can be dash mounted and made to look like it would have came that way from GM? Has anybody installed one, that You are "happy" with? Would like to hear from You as well...We all know how easy it is to back up a C5, without having to open up the drivers door or not having the top down!... Any sugestions??? Thanks.

I have a Rydeen mirror with built in GPS and other options. Mine came with the camera. I really love it and have had it for 2 years now. I upgraded the reverse lights to the Adjure with CorvetteMods HID reverse lights. Camera was very grainy at night but not anymore.

unless I just overlooked it, on their website I don't see an application for a C5 or C6 with those features

Dont know if you want to go all out, but I opted to have my radio bezel converted to a DD (Dennis at DD Mods is doing the work) and then will install a DD head unit with built in dash Nav and Backup camera displayed on the 6" screen of the radio. More expensive an option but integrates all the features I was looking to update. Check with Dennis as he also carries I believe a unit combined with just the rear view mirror.

Don't know that you were being hijacked - the guy was just asking for the model number for the unit that the previous poster referred to.
I would agree with contacting Dennis at Double D Mods and asking what his recommendation would be. I'd bet he can set you up with a very nice unit that has all the features you want.

It's a Rydeen model MN305. It just clears the sun visors. The MN302 is a little smaller but I wanted a large enough mirror. You lose the lights in the mirror so I installed an LED strip on each side in front of the sun visor so it shines down and lights up very nicely. I can take pics if you would like some.
