Man, I really like the silver bezel and across under the steering wheel to the left. I have a Machine Silver Z and there's just too much black in the interior! That's a really nice touch, not too much, just right. I'm doing a new dd stereo soon, and that gives me an idea of the way I want to go. The USB port is awesome too!
I was unsure on how to wire the switched power to make the radio come on when the key is turned to ACC, any ideas? I have read that the power wire from the ACC key position is not 12V?
Also, any other suggestions on other interior mods? I'd like to do white LEDs throughout, can the HVAC, window switches,, etc. be converted to LED also?

I have seen pictures, and it doesn't seem to match spot on. Maybe it's just the pictures, but I have always had a good eye for attention to detail.
Take power from passenger footwell wires. You'll find them taped up on left side of the fuse box. Quick and dirty you could use a tap fuse on fuse 22. Check the audio sticky for the write ups. Other options also shown.
Also, there was no room to separate the HVAC and HU without moving the HVAC down. That would have required a lot more work.
you did a great job on the bezel I am sure you can appreciate how much work we do when we make 25-30 of these a week for customers
There is plenty of room to leave separation as you only need to drop the hvac about 1/8th inch is all.

The factory bezel does not match the dash color in color and the console base is still a different shade as well since they are all three made by a different manufacturer

Exactly why when I'm ready I'm having Dennis do my Bezel. Though if I had the $$, leather with yellow stitching (along with door panels, e-Brake boot, center console cover) would be very tempting!

Holy cow 25-30 a week! This project took a few weeks for a single bezel LOL. The price for a Double D bezel is not bad at all, now that I've done the project
Also, I guess I did not realize the radio bezel is not an exact match from the rest of the dash. I pulled my bezel off around the second day of owning my car, so I didn't notice the difference. Now that I see that a modded one looks the same as factory, I probably would have went with sending mine in to get reworked, but I'm glad I went this route.
