..Want to thank the forum for all the info. on the door lock fix, The door module Relays, I replaced the two on each module..back in business for 10 bucks!..."thanks corvette forum".
..me too, great feeling to have everything in the car work as it should..It was a fun fix actually...I'd still be struggling to get the door panels removed without this forum...
Are you guys talking about how the locks won't lock but they will unlock?
I need to do this to my car, $10 to fix it? sign me up, who has info on how to get parts and how to do it?
its three relays on the left, one is for windows, i changed all three just to be safe, got em at mouser electronics less than $3 dollars a piece. info on the forum how to replace. sorry for out of focus pic.
I just did this with help from the forum and got my door lock relays replaced. At around $1.37 per relay its sure a cheap fix compared to replacing the door modules.

thanks for the info...was not aware of this. Could this also be the cause of my security light staying on from time to time?.... and once I could not open the door from inside the car...had to use the fob to unlock it while sitting behind the wheel....very odd.
Am considering repairing my passenger side control module. Although it appears complete replacement modules are available for around $100 direct from GM dealers on eBay
this youtube video helped me alot....but I used the de-soldering tool from Radio Shack it was 14 bucks with tax... Catalog #: 64-2060. Once you scrape/remove the silicone away from the solder joints the tool worked perfect and super easy to use.
i have a 98 vert and my key fobs wont stay in sync with the car.
I have tried the resoldering they talked about in the fob but they still lose sync in a day or so. Any 1 know what the problem is? Is it the modules in the doors?
Getting really at this car right now. So any help would be great
