I just did this with help from the forum and got my door lock relays replaced. At around $1.37 per relay its sure a cheap fix compared to replacing the door modules.

thanks for the info...was not aware of this. Could this also be the cause of my security light staying on from time to time?.... and once I could not open the door from inside the car...had to use the fob to unlock it while sitting behind the wheel....very odd.

Tag for later.

Am considering repairing my passenger side control module. Although it appears complete replacement modules are available for around $100 direct from GM dealers on eBay

this youtube video helped me alot....but I used the de-soldering tool from Radio Shack it was 14 bucks with tax... Catalog #: 64-2060. Once you scrape/remove the silicone away from the solder joints the tool worked perfect and super easy to use.

Default Help

i have a 98 vert and my key fobs wont stay in sync with the car.
I have tried the resoldering they talked about in the fob but they still lose sync in a day or so. Any 1 know what the problem is? Is it the modules in the doors?

Getting really at this car right now. So any help would be great
