Default need a little help !

Looking to hook up EVAP system on a 97-97 C5! Having trouble with the EVAP vacuum switch! Its located on the driver side under the fuel rail cover!I know one ends connects to the main Evap main line,just not sure were the other connection is made,Manual does not help??Maybe someone can post a pic of there motor to help me.Thanks for your help!

Hi Lonestar! Thanks for the reply back! Don't remember the hook up,car been apart for the past 3 years,Ive changed everything from the heads and up! My trouble is with the EVAC vacuum switch#563. I have it connect to #561 thats wright. Not sure were it goes next? or if it does? What is #564. Your reply back means alot.thanks jeff!

From what I'm seeing, #564 is a small connector hose, and it is listed by GM as being "part of #561". IOW, 564 is not available as a separate item from GM. Apparently it was at one time, but now you can get (if needed) only with a new switch. See pic of ACDelco 212-579 below.

IIRC, 563 has 2 hose connections. One goes to the firewall connection (I think) and the other to #561 (using the 564 connector hose) What appears to be a 3rd "connection", is left open.




I have a '99, and the emission hose hook up (as well as the fuel rail itself) under hood was redesigned and is completely different. The '97s and '98s were different from all other years in this respect.

The reason I say it I don't think it hooks up to anything else, is largely due to another member posting up here a few years ago and he was in the exact same boat as you. He had pics, and some other members jumped in with their comments as well. He eventually got things sorted out.

Thanks again for all your help,lonestar, I will look again for a small hose to connect to .I have a car lift,so it make it easy to look around.Iwill let you know if I find one.jeff!
