The Bosch I had dated 2/09 was leaking upon removal.
Sears 78 AGM does fit like a glove.
Do you guys use a battery mat?
I'm just going to replace it every 3 years.
I see Optima at PEP BOYS.
Apparently if you get them from Amazon there's no warranty.
I have Optimas in all of my toys. My boat has 2 deep cycle marine Optimas that I bought at Amazon. One died last year, and they covered it. I bought the one for my Vette at Amazon as well.
I don't recall them even asking where I bought it. He just wanted the lot number off the sticker. Had a new one to me in a couple of days.
I use Duralast for the most part, my Z has an optima red top in it because thats what it had in it when I bought it. I had a duralast go bad on me a few months ago and it was almost two years old, free replacement with no questions asked.
With all the griping about batteries I'm fairly happy with mine as I still have the OEM battery in my 04 that was actually built in 03!
Not bad for 9+ years old.
Any others left?

Mine was original in my '04 and was replaced last month with an Exide (one of the largest manufacturers) from my local parts place for $85.00 including tax. Fits like a glove, almost an exact duplicate of the original, which by the way had never leaked. I did install a battery mat beneath the new battery "just in case" . . . . . .
