With all the griping about batteries I'm fairly happy with mine as I still have the OEM battery in my 04 that was actually built in 03!
Not bad for 9+ years old.
Any others left?
Bought my 2000 in 2008, and as far as I could tell the battery in the car was the original. It died in 2010, and as noted it just one day was totally gone. Replaced it with a Die Hard and it has been fine now for 3 years. Getting ready to install a rear mounted battery kit so will have to replace it as it is too large to fit in one of the rear coupe storage compartments mounted in a sealed and vented battery box.

Nope, the OEM battery in mine was gone before I even bought the car in '09. Mine had a Red Top in it when bought and about two months later it went out. Have had a Sears DieHard Platinum in it since then - very happy with that battery.
DieHard Platinum size 75/86DT CCA 880 and RC 135 , It's identical to the Odyssey.
Don't just go into a parts place and ask for a battery for a 2004 Z06. You will get the wrong one. Check the CCA and RC.

Red tops are not good as the once were. I bought one last fall and it's already bad. Yeah they stood behind it. I don't need no stinking battery problems
The napa branded one in my '04 was leaking, so it got relegated to the '74 truckster.
The C5 got a Duralast Platinum (AGM) from AutoZone. It's been solid. Started up after sitting the winter like it was ran the day before. Probably identical to the sears one, as they're both made by Johnson Controls.

that is pretty impressive...have you looked under your battery to see if leaking at all? i would be worried about that issue with the OEM batteries due to the cars brains sits right below the battery

No leaks. From my understanding the 04's did not have that problem.
