stranded in New orleans
do you think that is the problem or could it be a valve sticking or maybe ac compressor it really sounds like it is in the engine though car responds as if nothing has happened then when it idles hear that sound again
That's prolly the best thing you could have done ... Man it could be a number of things
Start with the small things and just keep your fingers crossed brother
It was Flooding truck drove by causing lots of water??????????? What is that? What do you mean? Water ? lots of water Where? Did you go through water because if the front of the car went through water it could suck water up in through the Intake and man thats the worst thing you can do.
Nothing in this world can compress water. If it gets sucked up into the engine it bends rods
Try to tell us what happened
Oil has NOTHING to do with injested water, or sticking valves. Change the oil 10 times and it won't matter, nor will idling the engine for a day hoping the valves become "unstuck".
You have either a slightly bent rod or hurt rod/crank bearing due to the hydrolocking. To fix it WILL require engine disassembly.

He Hydrolocked it So he did blow thru a large puddle and sucked up water. That Sucks
