I posted this question over in tech yesterday but have not had a response. Hoping this may get some help. My clutch pedal engages at near the top of pedal travel. Is there any adjustment available? The car has only 40k miles and the clutch fluid looks really dark. Could it maybe just need a fluid replacement. There doesn't seem to be any clutch slippage. Thanks for any help or advice.
There is no adjustment on a hydraulic clutch. It can be high even if you install a new one. As long as it is not slipping you are fine. There is also no way to tell how much you have left. Don't let it make you crazy.
If you fluid is dirty flush it out, sediment in the fluid is not good.

Do a search for Ranger Method. You need to swap out your clutch fluid for fresh; your fluid should be clear, it should not be dark at all. I swap mine out about once a month but it was filthy the first time I did it and my clutch suffered because of it, including one time that it stuck to the floor and would not come back up.

Unless you have a Tick master cylinder, there's no way to adjust the clutch pedal. Whenever the master and/or slave get old and the fluid not replaced often, the seal on the slave wears out and allow clutch dust to get into the fluid and contaminate it. There was one time that I performed the Ranger method 5 times a day for 3 days and my fluid was still black after driving. Whenever it is time for a new clutch, if you want an adjustable pedal, get the Tick master cylinder, and while everything's out, install the speed bleeder line so you can actually flush out your slave anytime you want. Just to be safe I bleed mine twice a month to keep my fluid fresh 100% of the time and extend the life of my slave since it's such a *choice word* to get to.

Okay, you caught me. I usually do it once every two weeks or so, I just didn't want to sound obsessive lol. But it's so cheap and easy to do with the speed bleeder! lol
