Default need help please

I have a 2003 c5 blackwing intake and borla exhaust from what I was told when I bought the car.the car runs very good and fast.I just bought a front license cover with the mesh screen.I cut out behind it so I would get more air.my car did not run good at all.Alot of surging.even at crusing speed at 70.I put back on my original license cover and the car runs like it should.has any body else had this problem.do I need a programmer.

How far did you drive after you cut the front fascia? Sometimes it takes up to 50 miles or so before the computer relearns the new air flow from a modification.

I only went about 10 miles. What about if I disconnected the battery and connect back up would that help the computer to reset itself.will I notice any performance improvement with the front fascia cut?

This is what I did after I installed my VRB2 and had no problems.
