Surface rust?

Surface rust?
This may be a topic for the "tech area", but tyring to get some thoughts here. On the car I just brought home there is a little bit of surface rust on the calipers and around the outside and inside of the disc that the break "shoe" does not use. Is that something I can just use my Dremel tool and a little wire wheel to get off? Is there anyway to prevent it when those areas get wet in the future? I will probably paint the calipers in the future to take care of that part, but the disc themselves are another story. Thanks! -Glenn

You can paint or powdercoat the calipers to prevent that on the caliper. You can get the caliper paint from places like autozone. spray on or brush on.
You can also paint the inner hub on the rotor. I bought some rotor hub covers and had them chromed:

with RLYSLO - caliper paint will work well on the rotor hats as well as the calipers.
