Corvettes in Texas
I know there are a lot of Corvettes in Texas but I haven't seen many. I spent 4 days in San Antonio and didn't see a single Vette. I saw 1 in Port Lavaca while on my way to Galveston. Been here 2 days and have seen 2 more. All C6 coupes. My car has got a lot of attention during the trip. You Texans ever get those Vettes out where people can see them?

I'm in San Antonio and there are plenty vettes here. Not sure what side of town you were on but I pass 3 to 5 vettes everyday on the way to and from work and I only live 6 miles from my job.

Last Friday I drove from Dallas to San Antonio, drove around Austin for a while on the way. Spent 4 days in San Antonio and didn't see a Vette. I found it odd and know they are there somewhere. I left San Antonio Tuesday morning headed to Galveston. I saw one in Port Lavaca and I've seen 3 in Galveston. Not one of them was a C5. 3-C6s and 1-C4. All coupes. I'm betting when I head home I won't go through Houston without seeing at least 1. Probably a C6. I know we still see a lot of C5s.........but not as many as it use to be.

Mine spends plenty of time in the garage too. But I do drive it. When I got it 19 months ago it had 10700 miles on it. By the time I get home I will have almost doubled the miles. I've enjoyed every mile, but its impossible to keep it perfect when you drive it. I know there is a lot of debate about how everyone uses their car. I understand why some drive their cars daily, some occasionally and some seldom. It's all good with a Corvette.

Mine sees duty every day. See plenty of vettes on the road. Good old DFW. The other day I cruised through traffic with a McLaren MP4-12C. It was a lot of fun. I wish I had a dashcam installed.

I see a bunch of them around the Dallas/Plano area quite a bit.
It depends on what part of town you're in, and of course the more you're in that area, the more likely you'll see some cruising around.

Drove from Galveston to Little Rock today. As I was waiting to pull out of hotel parking lot a brand new GS Vert with the top down came cruising slowly by. I gave them a big wave, they looked at me like WTF are you doing, no wave back. When I saw the temp tag I figured they were newbies. The woman wearing the big floppy hat in the Vert should have given me a clue.
Saw one more, an orange C6 coupe, in Houston.
I still find it odd I didn't see any more Corvettes than I did on my trip. But, I have came to the conclusion not many people use them for traveling. I covered a lot of miles on my trip but the ones I did see were in cities.
