Don't mess with Bill for he will clown you ....
Maiden sorry we got off course but that's what we get out of the forum ....
With that said you know I love the look ... There will be a ton more that will not like it .. It's bold move move man ... Keep your vision in mind and build your car to your taste brother ... I've got changes coming this winter if I can stop spending money with American HydroCarbon
Good luck Brother ...
I don't know if it is an age thing or what, But in my opinion I think the TR Vette flowed and looks a lot nicer with the chrome, I feel that the black takes away from other wise great looking car. Just my opinion. I guess I am odd man out.
Mr.Bill
I'm in that club too!
The other reason that I'm not a fan of black wheels is that around here, black wheels mean that you still have your snow tires on!

Looks mean .... My thoughts on the rivets can you go red on them?
Red valve stem also .... Be prepared to get beat up my man.
God, that car looks nasty as hell. Nasty in a good way. Like it can hurt people. I have a TR coupe and want to dress it up similarly. I personally would like to take it to a paint shop and have them black out the rear fascia, I think that looks pretty slick. Good work on your car. Also, more to the topic of the thread, I personally feel that black wheels make the TR vettes look more aggressive. Just my opinion.

lol...Bill and I have been clownin' for quite a while now...I hate to see what he comes up with next BTW, I nearly fell out of my recliner when I found that pic...I still chuckle each time I look at it. Did you notice "he" is the only one in the group with his hands NOT in his lap? I wonder why?...

Few things to touch up on. It was mentioned it makes the car look unfinished. Well if you notice, I have not exposed all the polished/chrome rivets/fasteners yet. That will add an accent ring that should finish it off.
If in fact I do have the professionally finished...I will add the Torch Red accent ring and or the rivets.
Im 44, for me its just the car. Ive seen TR C5s on here with satin aluminum wheels that looked incredible. I love the polished wheels, not the chrome. But it was too flashy and this made it more aggressive. Kind of like wearing black socks with your shoes. Just looks more athletic imo.
James, thanks once again. I had already thought about TR rivets but am worried it will make it look like the wheel lip from a distance and make it look like smaller wheels. When I did polished centers/black barrels, from a distance it looked like the wheel edge was the polished center. Looked like 16" wheels. Lol
Someone brought up the corner lights. Ive been planning to change those for a while. I want clear lense but black housing versus the chrome housings in mine now. That should solve that mismatch. Also plan on front splitter in carbon as well as side skirts in carbon.
I already have new carbon fiber emblems and will get carbon letters to finish it off. I do want the Carvaggio(spelling) spoiler but in matching torch red. Dont want to copy James's car!!!
Now if I can finish my engine goodies........
And thanks for the kind words. To be praised on this forum is something to be proud of. There are so many nice looking examples to see on here, to stand out and be unique is tough to do. Once my engine bay is finish, it should look pretty unique.
