Default outside air temp sensor

Just received a new outside air temp from Corvette Central. I would like for anyone with knowledge of where the sensor is located on the car. My car is a 2000 C5 coupe.

Facing the front - it is on the lower left hand side of your radiator shroud

Peace

I found the easiest way to get to it was through the headlight. just remove the headlight shroud and reach down and you can unplug the sensor wires and relaese the pushpin that holds the sensor in place. You cansee the tip of the sensor from under the car on the passenger side near the radiator area. See diagram below for a better idea.

It's on the lower passenger side area. Left if your looking at it from the front, right if you're sitting in the driver's seat.

When you go to replace it make sure that the connector is still ok. On mine the connector was corroded and broken so I had to replace the connector along with the new sensor.

Good luck.

With the info and the pics above, you should have no trouble doing the replacement.

To all the members that responded to my question about the outside temp sensor, I send my thanks. Corvette Forum and its members are the best. It is comforting to know that there are people in the forum who are willing to help Corvette newbies.
