Default Have you named it?

Wether we like to admit it or not, some of our cars have ended up with a name, or nickname. People also end up assigning a gender to them. Sometimes someone else names them for you. My son named my daughters blue Honda "The turd" and that's what the family called it. I ended up calling my black 02 C5 vert Blacky, as in "honey, me and Blacky are going for a little ride". Let's hear what your car ended up with and a little history behind it. After all, Corvette is French for boat and most boats get a name.

I named mine "Lightning". My 4 year old son is a big fan of the Cars movies and "Lightning McQueen" is his favorite race car. I told him that our vert is related to McQueen.

We love and cherish our C5s so much some of us give them names.

But just crash one, and then it's "Oh, it's just a car".

I had a friend call my Arctic White coupe "Pestilence" after one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse. Pestilence rode a white horse.

I've tried thinking of a name for mine but so far have not come up with anything other than "the Vette" or "my baby."

My '66 is "the 66".
My '75 is "the 75".
My '03 is "the 03".

We used to refer to them differently throughout the years, but now we're all on the same page with the simple.

I haven't had it long enough to acquire a name...

My girls call it the Vette, naturally, and I always correct them, it's a Corvette...

Just a pet peave I guess...
