Water spots on windshield!!!

When I bought my '01 convertible in 2011, there were water spots on the back glass and the corners of the windshield where the wiper blades do not touch. So far I've found nothing that would get them off. Almost as if they are one with the glass. I went into a Chrysler dealership a few years ago and asked if they had anything that would remove the water spots from a windshield. Guy said sure, right over there. Right over there was a $14 bottle of glass cleaner with a MOPAR logo on it. So I bought it, took it home, used it, did no good at all. Took it back for a refund and he thought I was kidding. Bought got run out of the dealership. Oh well, I tried.
I think I'll try the Muriatic Acid thing. I bought some from Lowe's years ago to clean my concrete sidewalk. Did a great job on that.

Some cleaning agents like TSP will permanently etch glass. Don't ever get near your car with that crap. And, anything with Phosphates, I'd avoid. So, that sprinkler, just plain don't get near em. If someone is adding the wrong thing to the water, that's bad news for your car.
