I went with the Hankook Ventus V12 EVO's I am very pleased with them. Great ride quality and an improvement in grip both wet and dry!

I have Nitto 555's on all four corners installed for $750 through Discount Tire. They're awesome tires for daily driving while still maintaining some good grip as well. I use em in rain, snow, sleet, hurricanes, tornados, volcanic explosions, and tsunamis and I've had them for 25,000 miles so far lol.

Questions:

1) What were the tires that were replaced?

2) How is the ride quality for the NItto 555's

3) How quiet are the Nitto 555's

I am replacing Michelin Pilot Sport ZP's with 50 K on the front and 30 K on the rears on my '03 Vert.

Thanks for the info.

I'm running the Hankook Ventus V12 EVOs on mine too. Very pleased with them. And they have an $80 rebate on them now. Got mine from Discount Tire Direct - great price and free shipping.

I like to be different. Look at Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas. Excellent performance, #1 rated in Europe. Excellent pricing also. $750 with 18" fronts and rears.

how much power do you have would be my 1st question. same with how you drive

stock and normal to slightly spirited, get the hankook v12

bolt ons and a small cam with a turner burner driving style, get the bridgestone re11

for stock cars the v12 is really the best buy going

Allow me to chime in here.

I recently purchased a set of the Nitto 555's

They replaced Good Year Eagle's.

The ride quality is very good, firm but not hard.

They are a quiet tire.

So far I am extremely happy with the Nitto's.

I purchased them at Discount Tires, IMHO a good place to do business.

Hope this helps you with your decision.

When I bought my new wheels I needed tires because the wheels are 18 inch front and rear, I looked at and priced a lot of tires and I ended up going with Bridgestone Potenza 760 and really like them, I have had them for a couple years now and still look new, Good ride and traction.

why do some of you guys use these? i really don't get it. i like michelin myself and the pilot super sport makes a lot of sense but why in the world would someone put a rock hard 45k mile all season tire on a corvette?

yet guys do it

what makes even less sense is buying a tire that hard, then not driving the car much. if someone was driving 45k miles in 3-4 years i would kind of get it but that's almost never the case

I agree with them, these are very good. I have them on my other car and love them. Great in dry and wet but they are a summer tire only.
