Default nitrous

debating putting a 150 shot on my z , i would like to do a wet kit fogger with the plate just past the t-body . would like to do the system that has the standalone fuel system that has a 1 gal tank that mounts just in front of the radiator with its own pump . also a progressive controller .

here is the question what should i be worried about ? the engine was done right and has all callies internals with head , crank studs . rpm level 5 trans and rpm built 3.90 rear end . i wanna hear if you would pass on the idea or if there is not much to fear ?

thanks ahead of time .

Kind of unrelated but many moons ago I asked a similar question. The answer that came back was pretty good. Here it is:
Your car will go varoom, varoom then boom!
Good Luck!

a 150 shot on a built motor? I wouldn't worry about that at all. I know people who have run a 150 shot on the stock motor with ZERO issues. Just make sure its setup right, tuned right, and has all the safety features in place.

The LS engines love nitrous. I sprayed a wet 150shot on a mild 382 and made around 650rwhp. If you do it right, nitrous is very effective and reasonably safe. However, nitrous is very unforgiving. A stuck solenoid or lean spike can easily lunch even a built engine.

I sprayed 125 on a stock motor for years. No issues.

A lot of problems can arise with nitrous. It's a dangerous power adder. People will tell you it's not, but I blew up my ls1 z28 on a little 100 shot. Very easy for little things to go wrong and it goes boom quick. I was racing an 03 cobra and my fuel fitting started leaking and I sprayed more n20 than fuel and prob hurt the motor. Than later I sprayed it and the spray made it over rev and spun a bearing
