The new rear fascia I am going with is very similar. I am debating tail lights right now, Led Halo or Euro design.

Here are a few pics, the rear fascia, wing, is now history. The rear hatch is being sanded down because years ago the imperfections were not removed, this time they will be. Also looking at reinstalling the strut to lift and rasie hatch if possible due to weight of hatch. The front fascia has begun it's new face lift too. The Z06 air box is now molded in and drying.

Default scoop

Although this is the Tiger Shark fascia the scoop is where the liscense plate would be on a c5 stock bumper, so if fills an empty spot. Led lights are next,,,,,,more to come.

The majority of this guy's posts are negative and snobby. Sounds like someone needs a nap!

Seriously man, go **** on someone else's parade.

Default Thanks

Thanks, guys for the support. Anytime you tackle a custom mod on any car it can be tricky. The corvette enblem will not be added on the air scoop. I am trying to get a different look although I did consider a blacked out enblem. I am not a fan of enblems -badges especially on a black car. Hey Bill dont forget when you go to Carisle, I am still looking for a Tiger Shark rear fascia. Gary of VettePros will be there to haul it back should you find one.
Thanks Richard

Default updates to front and rear fascia's after the 4th

Here's the latest work done. Will probably go with LED tail lights and LED brake light that is longer than the factory one so the rear fascia will need a slight modification. The front fascia seems to be coming along. LED lights were molded to bottom of tiger shark molding by use of heat. Now working on clear side markers. Scoop came out pretty good, still need to finish it up. Will post again next week. Feedback welcomed.

Thanks Bill, I think we are gonna shave off the word CORVETTE in the rear bumper. Just make it completely smooth, no logo. The front fender area needs an amber relfector- or at least a clear one for DOT/Federal Law so we are working on a few ideas with that. The new corvette has a rounded-curved one on the fender and so does the BMW- 2011 MODEL 328i. Still looking to see whats out there but will flow with the lines. The LED lights in the front will be filled in from both ends to give the impression they were made for this car not just a universal pair stuck in a grill.

I had the same debate. Ended up with euro halos.

Default tail lights

I am leaning towards the halo leds...but the best of both worlds would be the euro style in led.

Hi Richard,

I, for one, really like seeing what you're doing....please keep posting pics of your progress! While I'm a BIG fan of how the designers made the car, I also enjoy seeing how creative and ingenious others can be.

You know, there's always a (sometimes a couple) jackass in the crowd who feels the need to bash others' ideas and work....don't let it get you down. If you're enjoying it, go for it!

Keep up the good work!
Jon

Jon,
Thanks for the feedback. Years ago right out of high school my first project was transforming a 74 torino into a Starsky and Hutch Edition. Guess that is where all this started or maybe it was the custom 10 speed in high school.....or the custom chopper bike in middle school, ...or was it the big wheel and jumping ramps.......
