I have a 1999 Corvette and my when the AC is on, it blows cold on the driver side, but hot air comes out of the passenger side. I set the passenger side control at 12 o'clock as suggested by the manual, but it still blows hot air on that side. Can someone help me please?
Pull the codes...you'll find one for the right side actuator. You can try the reset procedure, and if it fails. Replace it. You have to remove the dash pad for that side.
You'll probably hear someone to tell you to have the system recharged.....think about that for a moment...then go by the part you need and replace it. It's only around $150, and will fix your problem.
SFC Rick, I removed the #27 fuse and I now have cooler air coming out of the passenger side. Thanks for your help Sir. Roll On!
If you didn't pull the codes from the DIC how do you know if you had a problem with the actuators? I have the same issue with mine but driver side warm. I pulled my HVAC codes and found nothing so I am assuming I need a recharge. If your not familiar with pulling your codes just ask. It is simple and Can be done in no time. Good luck.
I just removed the #27 fuse for a minute and it resets the actuators. It's working fine now, but the actuator may have to be replaced. How do you pull the codes? I can have my mechanic pull the codes for free if I need too.
