I posted in the C6 forums on this issue. Has anyone ever driven a C6 with the flappy paddle shift? I have a chance to get an 2007 coupe but I have reservations on an auto car. So I was wondering if I could get some input on these paddle shifter LS2 07's
You will need to test drive and then decide. I drove an Auto GS a couple years back. I think the '12's shift a bit quicker than the 07's. The shifts were pretty rapid, but still felt a bit weird to me -- "slushy," if you will.
I driven a 07 auto with the paddle shift ears, and it was ok, I prefer the manual gearbox then anything else, the paddle shift felt different to me and kinda I guess fake
I have an 06 automatic and I think it's great. When you're looking for a performance mode, put it in S and it shifts right at the red line and bangs the gears quicker than anyone can shift a manual. I've had my engine dyno tuned along with transmission changes as well. I really like manuals, but this auto transmission is the best I've driven.
