Default Free Shocks!!!

My car club recently had a mod raffle, where there were gift certificates for corvette goodies in a punch bowl. There were some pretty nice gifts but my good friend got a certificate for a set of Monroe Matic Sensatrac shocks. Since his vette,an 03 coupe never had shocks, this was an early Xmas gift. Are these as good as OEM? I haven't really heard anything negative about these shocks. He had them installed today and be says the ride is better any takes bumps in the road better. Should these be on our list of replacement shocks, C6Z, Bilsteins, KYB,etc.?

Probably softer than stock, especially if we're talking about a Z06. Maybe comparable to the OEM on base.

If I'm not mistaken, stock is made by sachs? It's a german company that a lot of the german automotive companies use/used (BMW and Porsche I know for sure).

Monroe is owned by an American company, although I'm not sure if the shocks are made in the USA or not. I know they were OEM equipment for the recent GTOs. I've used them on my truck without issue, but IMO, they're not really performance orientated. They're fine if it's free and you're replacing blown out shocks, but otherwise I'd get Bilsteins or C6Zs instead.
