I have a 2000 corvette with 3 inch long tube headers, racing x-pipe, Zo6 exhaust. Was wondering what the best Camm out on the market right now for c5's is and what suggestions I could get on size. I want to still keep it a daily driver if I wanted so dont want to go giant, but dont want to spend all the time and money and not really have a nice aggressive sound and upgraded performance. Looking for some opinions.
sound is subjective. everyone thinks differently about how they hear anything. I have the 228R and PRC 5.3 heads on my 00 with right at 450rwhp after tuning and drive it every day. It has just a slight rumble at idle through the z06 ti exhaust i have.

1. You're on the right track about size, there are a lot of cars with big cams with stupid cheeseball names like "T-REX" and "Magic Stick" that produce big PEAK HP numbers and are absolute dogs under the curve, on the street, and at the track.
2. You will ALWAYS get better driveability and make better power under the curve with a custom grind for your specific application over an off-the-shelf cam grind. Don't order off the shelf, especially with guys like Pat G, Brian Tooley, etc. out there who will spec you a custom cam very cheaply.
I had Ed Curtis at Flowtech induction spec the cam for my set-up and I am very pleased with the results. I love the way it idles & lots of power from 2500 - 6500.
