My brother in law has a set of the factory 2000-2004 wheels with about 30,000 miles on them, what are they worth, he wants to get rid of them at Carlilse.
I had the same situation. When on a post Mark (Toque) gave me the idea about 30 days ago. I was going back and forth justifying purchasing my CCW505a's for an 01. It made good sense to me at the time and perhaps its a suggestion that makes sense to others as well. Why sell'm for $300/400 (I have yet to clean my chrome thin spoke but plan to) I will then store them. If and when the time comes I want to upgrade my C5 Vert. I will put them back on my Vet and sell my CCWs here for close to the same money I paid for them. Problem solved positively, win/win for me anyways
See them on craigslist often in the $200. - $300. range and looks like it takes awhile to sell.
Same here. Maybe not worth the effort to take them if it cost you to sell them. Might be better off selling them on craigslist for 2-$300. Maybe more depending on the area.
Thanks for the replys guys, I will let him know, they do include the original caps and runflats, so it sounds like $200 - $300. I am kind of surprised with how low they are, would think the 4th Gen Camaro guys would be all over them.
Ten year old tires are almost worthless.
The wheels are worth between 250 (wholesale) and 350.
The tires are old and worthless, but many people still want them and they will increase the price compared to the wheels alone.
The best I have seen for the Z06 wheels is the $300 set I bought. Usually I see them going for a little more ($400-$500) if they are in good condition.
I bought a set of very good polished aluminum wheels from a member's '02, with center caps and runflats with 6K miles on them (without TPMS) for $100 about a month ago. You see used ones on different vendor's websites for $350 ea, plus $100 ea for center caps. I was very fortunate to get the deal I did - he had tried to sell a couple of years ago without any luck.
