Went to the track yesterday. As soon as I launched the car went into limp mode. DIC said reduced engine power, service traction control, service active handling. Got the car off the track and started troubleshooting and found fuse 17 blown. At this point I hooked up the laptop and scanned and cleared the codes. Replaced the fuse and decided to try another pass maybe it would tell me what was happening in my HPT logs. The next pass it blew the fuse again. This time it threw the TPS 1 and 2 codes and a P1515. Got it off the track replaced the fuse but it stayed in reduced power mode. So I limped the car home and started troubleshooting this morning. Found The throttle actuator line had been cut into by the knock sensor harness bracket. Repaired that but it's still in limp mode. It threw a new code after the wire repair...P1516. Is my TAC module fried?
I've tried everything and can't nail it down for sure. And I dont want to spend money on a part that won't fix the problem.
disconnected the TAC module and tested ohms at fuze 17. Got .61 when testing at the 2k setting on my voltmeter. Don't know which setting is correct to test with. But I imagine any resistance on that line is a sign of a short??
trying to borrow a throttle body from someone so I can test it. Really thinking that's the issue . Due to the cable to the motor having been shorted by the harness rubbing on that bracket.
