Tip: If your existing insulators look shaky, i.e. cracked, deeply grooved, etc, sometimes you can carefully remove them and turn them around so the arm is pushing on a "fresh" surface.
Hopefully customs does not grab my package to charge duty fees on it. That would delay them some. I don't mind paying the fees. They are not that much but it delays them getting here. Could be a few weeks or more before I get them if they do. Fingers crossed they get here soon.
Well I got tired of having a little shake in my headlights and after looking at it I noticed that the bucket stops had a lot of play in them, They were warn, Cracked and very brittle.
So what I did was order replacements from a web site and they came in the other day, Well I wanted this fixed and replaced them all today.
I have to tell you, These are a really nice item, Not sure what they are made of, But they are not brittle at all, They might be made of UHMW which is a very durable product.
I did a test, I had 1 new one from another forum vendor and the set from another website.
What I did just to see how they will hold up under extreme pressure I hit both with a hammer a number of times just to see and the one from the other vendor was wasted when I got done and the one from another website was still like new. http://rodneydickman.com/catalog/pro...roducts_id=309
Here is a picture of the 2 I hit with the hammer and you can see the one on the left wasn't phased at all and the one on the right didn't hold up at all.
Here are a couple of pictures of the new set installed, They are a perfect fit and best of all when my lights are open I have no movement.
Another great product from another website, I also have his Headlight gears on the Vette and the WS6. No issues at all.
I am a happy camper.

If you want more info pm me.
To replace all of them on both headlights you need 8.
I managed to acquire a set of fantastic Radioflyer ACA projector headlights(shameless plug), finally did some night driving a week ago and they were dancing, I doubt the stops had ever been changed 142,000 miles on the car. So off to Rodney's website I go and installed the new ones today, about a 15 minute job and looking at the old ones it was definitely time for a change. I will try to get some night driving in and report back.
