My mods are only shorty headers and a vararam but I had the opportunity to get a good dyno tune so I went ahead and did it. I was a little disappointed by the numbers however the dyno the tuner has is an extremely stingy dyno. It is a dyno dynamics dyno. The car made 318rwhp after the tune. He said on a dyno jet the numbers would have been quiet a bit higher. Also the temerature inside was litterally 100 degrees with very high humidity. A couple of weeks pervious to mine an 04 Z06 with AR long tubes and offroad X plus a vararam intake only made 336 rwhp.. plus it wasnt 100 degrees that day. Despite the low numbers the car feels much stronger all around!
Yea guys the tuner told me that its an extremely stingy dyno plus it was 100 degrees and really humid.. But he's a very reputable tuner and seems very knowledgable.. But the car def feels alot stronger. I was averaging about 23mpg highway before and i drove about 40 miles today highway and was getting 33.3!
Yea I've heard... I'm not really worried bc it obviously helped the car. There is a shop fairly close that has a dyno jet and will do three runs for $75 so I might see what I get with it sometime soon.
It interests me that with all the different opinions on stingy dynos and happy dynos that people can say your car should have this RWP or that RHP. How can you know if you can't trust the dyno numbers? A time slip is the only real number that counts!
BTW, IMHO, Vararam adds nothing on a dyno unless you can introduce high velocity air flow to simulate speed.

My $0.02.
Agreed. I will be taking it to the track pretty soon to see how it does.
I find it funny that every dyno is a stingy dyno. I mean have you really ever heard a tuner or shop say that every car dyno's high on their dyno? I would get your car double checked. My stock 02ss Camaro put down 322 rwhp on a dyno jet.

I'm taking it soon to do a few pulls on a dyno jet so I will be able to compare then. The dyno mine was tuned on has been used to tune alot of extremely fast cars and almost always is on the really low side with the numbers. My car runs great. I had an 02' WS6 with full exhaust intake and 4.10 gears and there is no comparison between it and the Z06.
The heat really kills things too. I lost over 50hp on a 97degree day with high humidity.
Yeah I assumed it would. It was honestly the hottest most humid day of the year. 100 plus degrees in a small non air conditioned building. It's no big deal tho I'm not concerned about the numbers.
