Looking for the best brand to buy (c5 window valet). My windows are hitting the convertible top? My 1st corvette. Any info on it Thanks!
A window valet allows you to open and close your windows (vert or coupe) with your key fob. It has nothing to do with the fitment of the windows. You need to adjust the top if there is a problem.

correct, as for the window valet, Southern Car Parts is where ours came from, awesome addition to any vehicle, with I could get it for my GMC.
This question/statement is somewhat cornfusing. (as we used to say in Kansas) Does the op want his windows adjusted or looking for the best price on one of those window valet thingies?
There is only one brand of window valet, Top-Down Technologies. It is sold by many different vendors. Aside from the window functions there are several other things it can do, such as display the highest top speed you have attained for a given time frame by moving the speedo needle to the mph. Good for checking how fast your car was driven if someone else drives your car, such as when bringing in for service.
Put mine in yesterday as well as an OBD2 module for my Torque Master app.
Works great.
The instructions text size is tiny and you have to read half way through to get to the window setup then enter the last 4 digits of the serial number as a pin.
Other than that it's pretty easy to set up.

I have to agree about the instructions. They must have been written by an alien.

There are a lot more features the Window Valet provides than just opening and closing the windows. I have an aftermarket NAV head unit so many of the OEM radio features won't work, but it offers some great add-ons.
I also agree about the instructions. They were clearly written by an engineer and not the marketing team.
enter car
Turn on ignition
push both window buttons to up and hold for about 10 seconds.
He is referring to the auto window adjustment function of the car.
When using the window valet, the window up function is pressure sensitive and the window will roll back down if the resistance is too great. So preforming the auto adjustment might keep you from getting frustrated. I think the instructions of the window valet address this.
PS. This is a must have on a Convertible

Thanks you for your comments. I think if a lot more citizens of this country could see how some of the rest of the world lives, they would realize how lucky we are. This country is far from perfect, but it's the best one out there. Thanks to your son, the tradition continues.
When I had the valet on my previous C5 the passenger window had just a little more resistance when going up. A few times that I used it to close the windows when walking away, I came back to find both windows totally open. The passenger window reversed and rolled them both down. BTW, you can also use it to open the windows partially when parked to let heat escape.
Another feature is programing the doors to unlock when the parking brake is used, this makes for convenient unlocking of the passenger door when letting a passenger out while the engine is still running.
Yes, I know there is a door unlock button, but it is so much easier to just pull the parking brake lever a fraction of an inch and undo the locks than start searching on the door panel for the unlock button.
The other feature I use is turning the radio off when the ignition is turned off, instead of being activated when the door is opened.
Scroll to where it says Install it Yourself.
It has the tiny script like the instructions that come with it so after saving the file I copied and pasted what I wanted into Word with a 12 text size and it is much easier to read if I have to redo it for some reason.
