Yep, RaggTopp. Before that, though, run over it with a sticky lint roller. You'll be amazed how much dirt you'll lift, particularly if you have a fabric top.
Wondering what other vert owners are cleaning their convertible tops with? Suggestions?? Anyone use the cleaner/protector "Raggtop"?
Thanks.
i used Raggtop but it didn't work for me. I think I should replace the top because it has some slight tears/fraying at the corners where the window and top meets. Does anyone know what the best replacement top to buy???
I have the tan top on my 01 and it has some mildew (?) stains. The top is in great shape so I don't want to replace it, but want to clean it. I'm worried about using any bleach-type cleaner since it might bleach the color. Anybody have experience with mildew stains as opposed to just dirt?
The light oak tops seem to have the biggest problem with stains and dirt. My DBGM had such a top and nothing (including rag top) removed the dark stains in the fabric. My black vert is a triple black and it is much easier to keep looking bright and new.
I think the biggest problem with the LO tops is storing them under the hatch when they are wet.
I was talking to an owner who's had as he told me 20 Corvettes over the years. He said to try soft scrub for my white top, I may give it a shot for those dark spots that didn't come out with the 303.
