Default Drivers mirror when South...

Looks like I will be needing a new electro-chromatic heated LH drivers mirror as mine sprung a major leak. Looking for suggestions from peel and stick mirrors that look great (if possible) to the original replacement. Any suggestions where to get reasonable priced to install proceedures and tips are greatly appreciated. Greetings, Rob

I bought a replacement from Corvette Central for mine. It does not have that feature so you don't have to worry about it again. It is heated however if that is important. Easy to remove the old mirror and install the new one. No need to remove the housing from the door to do it. If you PM me with your phone number I can walk you through the procedure. I recommend a couple of things in addition to the procedure that comes with it.

I went with the non changing one, It's cheaper and if you have heavy tint on the back they wont change anyway.

Uhhhh, perhaps I missed something in the original post but can you explain how heavy rear tint affects/effects the driver side mirror and the defroster function?

I am thinking you are talking about the interior mirror right? I need the drivers door mirror. Where did you source your mirror. Rob

Please post what you decide to go with and the vendor you get it from. I have the same issue with my drivers side rearview mirror. I think I want to go with a non electro-chromatic, my windows are tinted pretty dark and it makes it a pain to see anything at night unless I roll my window down.

That would be my recommendation too.

I have a Word file that discusses removing the outside mirror glass, but it is too big to attach here on the forum. If you'd like a copy, PM me your e-mail address.

Hey dadaroo, I tried to answer your PM but you've reached max capacity in that category, it says for you to delete some of your old messages. Anyways I got your PM and I'll give you a call after I get a new mirror and find the time to do the job, Thanks for your help.

Sorry about the full PM box, I had to go in and delete a ton of sent messages. I had been good about deleting inbox ones.
