Default Dewitt's Lead Time

So what's the current lead time on the Dewitt's radiators for you guys who have ordered recently?

I'm not happy to say i placed my order on the 15th of July via Colorado Speed. CS has been very helpful communicating back to me, informing me that the delay is over at Dewitts. I ordered a C5 Radiator W/EOC (1139097E) and fans (SP015) for my soon to be started build.

I contacted Dewitt's last week and asked for an update of a possible delivery date. I was answered "SHOULD ship by the end of next week". I called back today and was told they would check with the shop on how it was progressing. Haven't heard back since.....

Tomorrow is the END of the week as stated. Another forum member has been waiting on his since the 1st of July !

I just wish there was some sort acknowledgment on their site stating it takes over 2 weeks to a month on getting them out the door.

That's somewhat surprising. When I had to get one of their "custom for supercharged C5's" radiators just a month or so back they said "one week til it's made and shipped" and it happened just as they said.

I'm guessing my order took a while because it was made extra special right

I'm glad it will be shipping tomorrow.

and under the bus I go

We're going double time right now with the summer heat and I'm sure they are behind too. For the record, new orders are running about 10-12 working days.

We all have back logs, no matter what job you do. How many of you start working on the job you got today? How many days or weeks behind are you?

I would expect at least 2-3 weeks personally. It took the better part of a year to receive my custom leather interior parts from another vendor!

I might as well repost this question here (even though it is somewhat off topic)...

I am looking at purchasing a set-up for my 2001 in the near future. I see this notice on the DeWitts website:

Attention 2001 Corvette owners! It has come to our attention that some early 2001 Corvettes still used the flare connection that was used from 1997-2000. Please check your transmission oil cooler connections before ordering this radiator.

How do I know if I have flared connections without disconnecting a line?

Also, I assume that I will lose Transmission fluid when making this swap, so I guess I will need to refill the transmission following a radiator replacement?

Might snap a picture and e-mail it to them to verify.

Well today is 2 weeks and per Tom he stated my order will be shipping today. I wouldn't have had a problem with the delay if i was notified that the process took that long. That way i could plan accordingly on its arrival instead of rushing to get it in so the shop can install when my work is started next week.

Your problem is Colorado Speed... Had you listened to me and ordered direct from Dewitt's... Well, you know....

James, Yes, 0600-0615.. Should have my new Corsa set up this evening... Hopefully I get it on and adjusted... Picking up GF from DFW airport at 9pm... she has been in Boston for the past few weeks (business) and she is gonna need some attention..
See you tomorrow morning w or w/o the Corsa installed...

Colorado speed is just the middle person. They can't control how fast they can ship something out if the company who manufactures it is behind schedule or whatever the case may be. I've ordered from them a couple of times with ZERO issues. I'm pretty sure it would had been the same scenario if i would've ordered directly from Dewitts.
