Default Z16 Stripes

Hi Guys, thinking about buying a Z16 and since I live in the Phoenix area I was wondering if anyone has had problems with them lifting, bubbling or fading because of the heat or anything else. Wish they were painted on under the clear coat. When you polish your car do they cause any problems?
Thanks
Dave

I had the same concerns, but the previous owner put wax over them, and I have done the same, no issues.

I use Blackfire polishes, and while I don't apply polish over the stripes, or buff on them with a polisher, I do put the last step products on over the stripes with no issue. The only annoying thing is that the edge of the stripe catches product and it takes a little extra effort to clean off the product from the stripe edges. I haven't read of anyone having issues with them lifting from heat or cold.

My car and my son's are both FL cars since new, zero issues on either car.

Original owner of my Z16 had the car located in FL as well for roughly 7+ yrs. I brought it up here to the Mile High City, and still zero issues as well.

As said, keep the car clean and waxed well and you should have no problems. I have stripes on the hood and sides of my car - been there for ten years - and not one problem with them. While I don't live in a climate as hot as AZ, it does get toasty here as well as rather cold.
