Default Radiator coolant Filter

Saw a few on ebay,it seems like a good idea, it only $9.99.Just cleaned my radiator tank ,& it was a little dirty with debris, from the Dexcool.A screened filter may eliminate some of this? You can remove & clean this filter screen periodically. It fits on our hoses, top easiest. It should fit our 1 1/4 ID hoses.BTW Does the coolant flow from the top hose ,from the engine to the radiator?

Default Coolant filter ?

The only thing you need to do to keep your cooling system in perfect shape is flush out the old Dexcool and install fresh coolant every five years. Installing a filter is only going to slow down the flow and you really don't want to do that. Old coolant gets dirty and if left in there too long you'll get a sludge buildup. Don't go installing filters or anything but good fresh new coolant.

Not something I've ever heard of nor a part I would install on my car.

I drill pump out my overflow tank every year to keep some freshness in the coolant. This is real easy to do.

I switched over to green and will flush every 2 1/2 years.

Not an oil but a large filter, that has a capacity that will not clog easily!
