Default Pulled the trigger on Hankooks

After some research on here, I went with the Hankooks that so many here seem to love. Ordered the fronts for my '99 coupe from Discount Tire Direct, and will get the rears when funds allow. Still got some miles in the Kumhos that were on it when I bought the car a month or so ago. This being my first 'vette, and not really having a lot of Corvette experience, it'll be interesting to see if the cars acts different ride and handling wise when I get them put on and aligned. I don't race or autocross, so I hope the wear characteristics are decent.

Good luck with your new tires, to bad you couldn't have gotten all four. Noticeable difference with two I doubt unless the front were real bad.

I'm not going to install them until I get the two to go on the rear. I've got a Ranger to drive every day, so I'm going to wear the crap out of the ones that are on it now.

I love my Ventus Rs3's. They work great at the track.

I just had Hankooks installed last month after reading all the threads about them on here. They replaced Michelin Pilot Sports. Love them! And they're half the cost.

I just got my Hankook's V's two months ago and wish I would have bought them sooner! They are great!

Are they run flats? I'm in the market now.

Thanks, that explains some of the cost savings.

I was hoping for a report of the new tires against the old, since my first corvette came with Kumho's and I was hoping for a broadened understanding between the two brands.

I like the Kumho's but have no contrasting use experience. They don't have a lot of web presence at this time, but seem to be putting out comparable C5 product with the off market leaders. Sometimes older product gets a lot of attention just because the literature is better established and newer , perhaps better products, get overlooked.

It seems you will like the new tires, I hope they work better than the old .
