Vibrating rear-view mirror

I test drove a 1999, and it had a vibrating rear-view mirror. Is this common, and is this a mirror problem or an indication of a motor problem? Thank you.

Maybe it is just loose? Mine don't vibrate at all.

If memory serves me correctly there is an old thread around on how to fix this problem. Do a search and you should find it - I would look for you but have a doc appt to leave for know. Good Luck.

It could be loose, but a tire out of round or a unbalanced wheel can cause it too.

All it needs is to have the screw on the mount tightened. My mirror did the same thing when I first bought my car. Now it only vibrates when I crank the stereo up and the bass gets the whole car shaking.

I tightened the bracket on the windshield when I first bought the car and it hasn't come loose since. Don't crank down on it though. Be careful it can break off.
