Default Rear Wheels

How big can I go in the rear of a 2003 Z06? I was told 11 in width unless I have a widebody kit. Too expensive.

Plenty of room back there, you may have to lose the Z06 brake ducts depending on how large and wide you go.

People generally run 12inch wide rims on fender flares. They'd fit without the flares, they'd just look a little stupid with the tread of the tire not sitting flush to the body.

11.5 is what I would like. Don't want the tires to stick outside of the fender.

It's more important the size of the tires. an 11' with 315's will just fit inside. These are 12.5 with 325's and do stick out.

A 19x11 65mm offset wheel with a 305/30/19 tire works well. No rubbing or sticking out. The 315x19 tires are only available in a 25 aspect ratio that is too short. Same for a 315/30/18 as it's also too short.

An 11.5 rear wheel is too wide and the tire sidewall will stick out.

Exactly. So to answer the Op's original question, yes 11 is a big as you should go unless you get flared rear quarters or don't mind the tires sticking out.

I looked at options for 19x11 for the rear and didn't find as many choices as other sizes. I didn't care for the styles that were available. I went with 19x10.5's. Traction with these wheels and my BS Potenza Pole Positions has been excellent thus far.

Ok thanks guys. I think I'm gonna go with one of the 19x9.5 front and 20x11 rear packages from WCC. Has anybody purchased one of those wheel packages before?

I haven't used them but if you are seeking feedback on a 19/20 setup, I think 20 is too large for this car. Just my humble opinion though.

I am in the hunt for the black wheels. Same style though.

JAXEAGLE, why do you think 20s are too big? Just wondering.

Aside from 20's not performing as well, I also think the wheels at that size overpower the rear quarter in terms of looks. I prefer to balance the look rather than the wheel drawing the eye more than the body. Just an opinion though. I certainly would not say 20's look bad but just like 18-19 better.
