Default Corvette windshield decal

I have a 2003 Millenium Yellow Z06 and want to put a Corvette decal on the windshield. I noticed that several places have "yellow" and another color like a "golden yellow". The second one sort of looks like it goes with millennium yellow.

Anyone with a MY vette apply the golden yellow decal? Does it match?

I used to have a Velocity Yellow '07 and the regular yellow matched it great.

Thanks!

Joe B

Does it make it easier for the "blind" to see it's a corvette, or does the foot tall chrome lettering put on each side do a better job of letting everyone know it's a corvette?

Getto in my opinion..... no matter what yellow it is.

Now that's funny!

But back to the issue, I say no to the decal, but then it's your car.

Hahaha the C5 General guys.... We aren't critical or opinionated at all!!

But to the OP IMHO those windshield decals are but It is your car and I'm sure if you like the look, when you get it on there and matched up you will love it. Just not for me.

Yeah, gots to agree with the folks here, I had one on my car a few years ago for a few months and asked for several opinons on the CF. End result it's gone, I have to admit it looks better. Oh, I was at the Corvettes at Carlisle in PA this past weekend and there may have been just a couple out of over 3000 cars that illuminized us as the car drove into the gate. HaHa, you could here guys saying, "look, here comes a Corvette", if you get my drift. Unless it's maybe a Lingenfelter package carring over 600HP and all soup to nuts IMHO the car looks better without it, but hey, it's your car.

I'm curious why so many are against the windshield decal when both the C5R and C6R have it prominently displayed?

I guess it doesn't hurt to let someone know it's actually a Corvette if they missed the other 6 times it's displayed on the car....maybe 7 is the magic number?

At the speeds they run and the crowded fields it helps the announcers keep track of who and what just flashed by when they all look generically the same with wings and canards.

So seriously.......

I don't think the number of times "Corvette" appears on the car has anything to do with it, especially since the many of them are insde the car and not outside. The decal is more of a visual asthetic than it is a branding label.

Joe, looks like you get to be first. I can't say I have ever seen a MY C5 pic on this site with a windshield decal.

Now that I have made that statement you should get at least 5 pics to the contrary .

You didn't ask, but I am another who wouldn't do it.

Joe.....sometimes you have to be your own man and not go with the crowd. If you like the decal, go for it

If you like the looks of a windshield decal, go for it. It's your car and you're the only one that has to be happy about it. As for me, I say go for it.
