I put BB Route 66 on my C6 and C5 - - -with a Bassani Cross pipe . . . sounds like music to my ears.
I have a Borla Stinger quad-tipped exhaust which I think is perfect. Aggressive at idle and on acceleration, but moderate while cruising.
However, this is not for the meek.
None will give you any significant power gains unless it was matched up with a cam, headers and a tune. I love my GHL bullets.....best bang for your buck imo...You will be hard pressed to find any GHL haters. There are louder options out there but most will drone pretty bad.
for the money you cat beat XS power. Sold here by Huron Sports. I consitently get compliments on the way they sound on my 02. And there is ZERO drone !
You can go to you tube and google just about any exhaust system made.

+1 for GHL! I have these on my car now.
NOTE: my car is modified with an LS3

I had XS Power and it is a good sounding exhaust.
Finally, a few years ago I put Corsa Pace Car (aka Sport) on my old 2004 Coupe (stock except for headers & x-pipe w/hi-flow cats).

Honestly, your best bet is to find some owners with aftermarket exhausts on their cars and ask them to let you listen to them. That way you can make an informed decision on what you really like. I've had both the B&B Route 66 and the Corsa Indy Pace Cars (now the Sport) on my C5s. The B&Bs were a quality system, but the drone when driving and popping when decelerating was annoying - I solved better than 95% of it by installing an X-pipe on the exhaust.
I now have the Corsas on my car and absolutely love them. No drone, no popping, just a great sound and top quality construction. Yes they are expensive, but IMO well worth the money.

I have flowmaster on my 03 and love it. It has a deep old school sound and does not sound like all the others.

I've listened to many different brands, Corsa included, and found the GHL Bullets to be the best I'd heard. Best of all they have absolutely no drone. They're what I will be going with when I figure out what headers I want to get.
All from the same school and all nice. Borla probably most name brand recognition but you also pay for it (unless you find a nice used set like mentioned above). GHL best on eliminating drone. XS Power is very good value for the dollar. SLP probably the loudest if you want that.
None will increase HP. I installed Kooks Headers along with the X pipe this past weekend at Carlisle with the existing Corsa Extremes I already had on the car. Went across to ECS and had her re-tuned and now my sound is even better, but still no drone at cruising. For a car essentially stock, it's beasty enough for me... Sweeeet...
Need to compare apples to apples tho....a car with cam and/or headers has a totally different sounding exhaust than a stock car with the same exhaust setup.
I personally have Corsa Pace Car on my stock 03', and love em!
