Looking to pull the trigger at the end of the month for a Cat back exhaust system. I have looked at Borla, Flow Master, Magnaflow. Recently came across Billy Boat Bullet and was wondering if anybody is running these on there C5 and how do you like the overall performance and sound.

I did not run the Bullet system, but I did run a set of the Route 66s on my '00. Loved the looks, but the drone and popping drove me crazy. Cured that with a Bassani X-pipe. If the Bullet system has the same problems, good luck.
Have you considered the Corsa systems? No drone and great sound.
I have Billy Boat Route 66 on my C5 and also put it my the C6 . . use the search feature on the right and just type in the various brand names . . Billy Boat, Corsa, Magnalow, etc and most of the strings will have links to sound clips, installation info and pricing.
Don't do business with GHL until they correct their ****ups with the current stock that was sent out. I'm still waiting on a single exhaust tip to replace the one they manufactured and welded out of spec. They aren't answering emails or voicemails and their phone won't even ring, it just goes straight to answering machine.

PRT (Purge Resonance Technology) provides a rich and deep exhaust note while eliminating exhaust drone. PRT uses a combination of sound cancellation and absorption principals to create reflecting sound pulses that cancel out drone. It allows true straight through exhaust passage under aggressive driving conditions for the pleasing deep and throaty roar B&B Exhaust is known for, while a mellow and drone-free tone is emitted at cruising speeds. PRT allows for considerable power gains as well.
The straight through passage sound is very close to the Bullet sound. Bullets sound phenomenal, but they often drone (note: our x-pipes can help reduce this). PRT's give you the best of both worlds: A loud and aggressive sound - when wanted - and otherwise a more "livable" and non-drone sound (but still a muscle sound) when you want a little more quiet.
Billy did a great job of tuning the sound and power for the C5. All of our exhaust systems are designed specifically for the intended vehicle. We don't try to use a universal muffler design for different vehicles. Each exhaust is a custom design for the specific chassis and engine. No nasty harsh ripping noises that makes the engine sound strained. Only smooth muscle sound combined with the most power that could be added
I looked at all the systems , I wanted something that sounded different , hence the reason why I went with the corsa indy setup...it has a rumble while cruising zero drone, and when I go WOT its sounds amazing..

Good choice! Guaranteed to be drone free and also guaranteed for life to the original owner. GM Chose Corsa to deliver their Pace car system to the Indy pace car. This Corsa system also has a GM Part number.

When you add headers you will be gald you went with the no drone Corsa system.
I came up on a used set of Corsa Extreme's with a corsa xpipe, best exhaust I have ever had in my life! Hands down, no droning, deep growl at WOT & when jus cruising sounds nice. My older brother used to have a 02 Red Coupe with Borla Stingers and they droned like mother******. Havent heard Magnaflow, but I had a 97 WS.6 with LT headers and a Magnaglow exhaust, didnt like it.

CarMax told me the only modification they'd sell a Corvette with is the Corsa Pace Car exhaust because GM offered this as an option. Any other exhaust, or any other mod for that matter, would make incoming trade-in C5s ineligible to be sold by CarMax and they would dispose of the vehicle through other means - probably by auction.

That's what I did. I asked several of my fellow club members to audition their systems. Most members are more than happy to let you hear them rev their exhausts. And because I am a member myself, some were willing to let me ride along so I could sample the sound from the inside. I was surprised that the Pace Car (Sport) sounded so great when you got on it, yet so tolerable at cruising speed.
When I bought the car BB Rt 66's were already installed. Good sound, little to no drone for me, and great tips. I eventually wanted more noise so I installed dmh electric cutouts. Much louder with the cutouts even half open. This spring I wanted more power and did a few mods including LG street headers and x pipe. Car sounds amazing now now to. And when the cutouts are open, LOUD, nearly no drone, and I scare little kids and old people. I get so many compliments on the exhaust notes of my car.
