Default Anyone Else Running Koni FSD Shocks?

I had mine installed last year and I'm happy with their performance. However one thing I've noticed is that they tend to be a lot stiffer when I first start driving the car. It seems as though I feel more road imperfections, cracks, bumps, etc. and then the car tends to soften out after a few miles.

I never noticed this difference with my OEM shocks and was curious if anyone else experienced this with their Konis.

Thanks!

Thanks. How many miles do you have on your set?

I got them from a buddy who didn't use them long - so with a combined usage I am thinking right around 3,000-3,500 miles for the shocks!

I also have these combined with C5 Z06 springs and C6 Z51 sway bars!

Thanks,Matt

Are you sure that it's not your tires? From experience, I've noticed high performance summer tires do "feel" a little stiff (and sometimes out-of-round) for the first 5 - 10 minutes of driving. As they achieve their normal operating temperature, they become more compliant.

You probably would not have noticed this with your OEM shocks because they were made for old Buicks. Once you go to high performance sport shocks, you feel everything going on between your tires and the road (as it should be).

It might be. My vert is mostly a weekend driver so it can sit for a few days between drives.

When I installed my Konis last year, my previous set of Yokohama tires were on their last few miles and were hard as rocks. Since the install of my Konis, I have installed new CCW wheels and Hankook tires. I noticed an immediate improvement in ride quality, however lately it just seems as though I feel every crack in the road for the first few miles. I'm starting at 30 PSI cold and then the tires warm up to 32 PSI.
