I ran one on my previous vette, '02 vert, with stock headers and a borla exhaust and the fittment was fine. It cut down on the droan caused my the exhaust and I was generally pleased with the x-pipe.

My car came with the same setup when I purchased it last year. It is a nice piece. Please be advised that you will have to cut your stock H-pipe to clamp the x-pipe in its place. However, if you are willing to accept that it is definitely a good product. I have since put LG longtubes on the car.

Muffler Shop
I was at my favorite muffler shop recently. They had an X-pipe on the shelf which was a perfect match-up for my C5. It was about a foot long and replaced the H-pipe section of the exhaust.
The holes in the pipes inside the "H" are about 1" in diameter. The X-pipe in the exhaust system let it sound better.
The X-pipe cost $75 and the installation was $50.

not trying to hijack this thread but when i got my borla xr-1 exhaust put on the guy installing it suggested that he build an x pipe to use with it instead of the stock one with the muffler that comes with the set up. anyone with this set up do this before? does the x pipe just allow for better exhaust flow and what does it do to the sound of the exhaust?

I ran a Bassani X-pipe on my '00. Had the stock front exhaust system to just past the cats then the x-pipe and a set of B&B Route 66 mufflers. The fit and quality was excellent.
