I need some help for real all I think about is my Z06 and modding it and corvette catalogs and the forum and driving it and zaino-ing it. geez...PLEASE tell me I am not the only one out there doing this!
No wonder I don't have a boyfriend! Who could deal with me? Can't IMAGINE what the married folks go through-how do your spouses react to the vette? Is it "the other woman/man"? haha! 'cause I am tellin' ya' I would never make it married right now with my "affair" with my Z!
Re: 12-step program for MOD addiction??? (levettegrl)
my wife didn't know i was buying the Z06.her first words when she saw it were "when are you going to lower it and make it louder?"guess she knows me pretty well.
Re: 12-step program for MOD addiction??? (levettegrl)
I personally think the car is great .. as is. The engineers at Chevy extensively tested the car, so that all of the parts work in harmony. When guys start throwing off the shelftheoreticalgo fast parts on their car, they often end up with slower cars with lots of problems and no warranty.
I made two mods a Blackwing air intake (a waste of money, probably) and I tinted my rear window due to the daytime deficiencies of the electrochromatic mirror. I don't intend to make any other changes. If I want to go faster than the car, I take my motorcycle - it is much faster
Be careful with those "off the shelf" polished exhust plates, they may jeopardize your warranty.
I was worried about that. :yesnod:
Jerry why would you heavily mod a 2001 Z06 (with off the shelf go fast parts which I assume weren't cheap) and then turn around and get a 2002 Z06. I am puzzled? Don't you want to enjoy all of that extra power for a while, or is the thrill in putting it together?

Sone small mods ... are pretty much for show either way ... exhaust is mostly show and an intake will not void the warranty ... but like you ... I am into the show more than go because of the warranty ... when it expires after 4 more years ... I plan to mod the engine ... but :nono: til then ...

Hey, you're not alone. :D I couldn't tell you how many times I've heard 'If you were married you wouldn't be doing that.....etc etc etc ad nauseum...' in reference to my bike and cars. No surprise I live in a garage with a house attached! Anyways, most of us would kill to get hold of a woman who likes cars that much!!! You haven't found the right guy, that's all! ;) :D
In my defense the lease on his 1999 TA was up in November and we had great incentives from GM to switch cars now.. but yeah I guess Im as addicted as he is :)
