but the c7 run flat is night and day a different tire to what's being suggested for the c5
the new run flat pss is able to pull some spectacular G numbers. i've seen peaks of 1.17g in some of the c7 tests. it's michelins newest pilot super sport which is just an outstanding performance tire, i have a set of the non run flat version in my garage for the z06. they are basically a hard compound grooved intermediate slick with a couple of sipes
the pilot sport as being talked about here is an all season commuter tire....and really probably a great choice for the OP based on what we've heard.
