I've seen it towed two different ways, and I had no problem with either. They chain the rear and the front over the heavy components and it gets tightened. But my favorite is when they secure it by using Straps that fit over the front two tires.
Were you able to drive it up the ramp? If it was winched up where did he hook the cable? That's what I would like to know.

One time we drove it up, I managed a gentle smile and asked him to be careful - and he was. The second time, I am just about positive he used the front two slots where the hockey puck attach to, to pull it forward.

Not all tow companies have the different types of trucks but some have the ones that reach way out to make the ramp a lot lower and this is why they need to be told that it is a Vette that is going to be hauled.I believe some of the older trucks did not extend out making the ramp too steep for the Vettes. That is why they had to carry planks for adjustments. On another note all of the tow companies have or should have manuals explaining all the do's and don'ts about how to set up for various cars for towing.I can tell you by experience that there are some real idiots in this profession and beware when you have your car towed that you inventory everything in your car before the tow truck leaves. There are a lot of thieves in this profession.

That's why I would like to know the proper procedures and hook up points to make sure they do it right.(hopefully it never happens).
