Default Does This Z06 Configuration Exist??

I am seriously thinking about replacing my '96 CE LT4 with a 2004 Z06 but have not been able to find-out if this configuration was available:
Exterior: LeMans Blue without the gray stripes
Interior: Black / Charcoal

Did a Google search for my answer but came-up empty....so could you C5 owners let me know.

Thanks.

I believe lemans blue was only for the Z06 CE models. So two questions would be:
Does it have polished Z06 wheels?
Is the hood Carbon Fiber?

They might've removed the stripes for some reason. Also in 2004 the only FRC models were Z06's so make sure its an 04.

I think the Lemans blue was specific to the Z16 package, and can't recall seeing a Z06/Z16 without the striping.

Good luck with your search.

The only shade of blue in 2004 and a Z06 was the Commemorative Edition or Z16 model. It was Lemans Blue with a black interior. I would say 99% of them had the stripes installed. So finding one would be very difficult without the stripes and I wouldn't recommend removing the stripes off a 9 year old car.

Your best bet is to find a 2003 Electron Blue Z06, and add the 2004 shocks, etc. Or change your color preference if you are set on the 2004 model. The 03 EB Z06 will be less expensive than the 04 CE Z06, since the CE models tend to bring a small premium in price.

I have found a couple of ads stating a 2004 Z06 Le Mans blue and the picture shows no stripes....however one ad also states that the Commerative package up'ed the hp to 425....which I know it does not....so much for that ad....LOL....

I have also learned since posting my question that Le Mans blue was the #1 color for 2004, black was #2. So this has me thinking about changing my color choice to perhaps Machine Silver...although this is very close to the Sebring Silver that my '96 Collector Ediition is....which was happened to be the #1 color for 1996. I would rather have a more rare color; would really like to have the Magnetic Red, but not available in a Z06.

Time for me to look into 2003 Z06.

Thanks for the responses....sure appreciate it.

Here this should help you, you can search the Z06 section on factory codes:

Lanny do not be discouraged since someone has the add wrong listed at 424HP. I see adds wrong all the time. When I bought my FRC it was listed as a coupe. The dealer had had no idea what it was , I was looking for a FRC and let the dealer know I was disappointed that he was showing a coupe and it was not and he was wasting my time.

Bimmervet: Not getting discouraged...at least not yet...that will be when I try to sell my '96 CE LT4 and reality hits me in the face....or rather the wallet when I get offers of less than $10k.

The one ad that I made reference to above was an individual and he actually states that the CE package increased HP to 425. He is also $10k above my limit...so not even going to waste his and my time.

Madmatt9471: thanks for the link....very helpful indeed.

What kind of money did you initially feel your 96 was worth?

RC000E:
I would like to get at least $12.5k for my '96; have been looking at local C4 prices that are all over the board, but until I actually put it up for sale will I know what the market is.

And then looking at '03 / '04 Z06 prices....all of which are at least twice what I will likely get for my '96...has me asking myself if the Z06 is twice the car. A decision that only I will be able to make.

That is an insane price. Keep looking - lots of very nice '03 or '04 Z06s out there for a lot less money.
